Bako Chairs Geesbrug, 1960s, Set of 4

A beautifully designed set of 4 dining room chairs in teak is how we best describe the “Geesbrug” set. This set comes from the first owners who completely composed their interior with furniture from WeBe and Topform, among others. We do indeed see clear influences in both design and use of materials from , Awa and WéBé. The designer on duty looked at various chairs from these brands and used characteristic elements to arrive at a new design. The design is from furniture factory BAKO. We see a very beautiful and well-made chair frame made of teak wood with a beautiful color and design. On top of this, rounded seats and backrests are fitted in a combination of green and yellow fabric. The whole looks “rich” and, when you look at it a little longer, in addition to being elegant, it can even be called impressive in terms of craftsmanship, the sitting position on these chairs is very nice. The chairs are nicely constructed and still have their time-accurate upholstery. The traces of use are not noticeable given the age and purpose of use. Fortunately, it does not detract much from the charm of this unique set of vintage chairs, which are designed according to the characteristic organic style that characterizes furniture from this period. The fabric is already several decades old, completely intact and without major stains etc., of course in a neat vintage condition and certainly not damaged.
