The iconic LCW (Lounge Chair Wood) design has earned its place in the most important private and public collections the world over and for good reason. Using technology they developed during WWII, Charles and Ray Eames designed the first chair made of plywood with compound curves, that were beautiful, well made, comfortable and affordable.
Acquired from the estate of the original owner, this rare matched pair are in fantastic original vintage condition. The early chairs have walnut veneer and the single oval rubber shock mount on the seat back. Early chairs in this condition are extremely uncommon, a matched pair like this seldom becomes available.
