The Brno armchair was originally designed for the famous Stimmehat House in Brno (Czech Republic). Its cantilever frame made of chrome-plated steel symbolizes Mies van der Rohe’s principle “less is more” and combines elegance and comfort. The 1990s version, manufactured by Knoll, features striking simplicity and high quality workmanship that preserves the original design.
The chair is particularly comfortable thanks to the padded seat and is suitable as a dining chair as well as for meeting or conference rooms.
The original chair is easily identified by the embossed Knoll lettering, the van der Rohe signature on the chrome frame and the Knoll branding material on the underside of the chair.
