Old sideboard from the 1950s in solid oak with its four large sliding glass doors.
We love its format, quite long with a shallow depth. Its delicate details, with its plinths, its moldings, its paneled doors topped with brass handles.
The interior of the piece of furniture is made up of brass-plated supports, typical of grocery stores or boutiques of the time, on which wooden shelves are attached.
Completely restored, this piece of furniture has been completely sanded, treated, lightly stained, then protected with a transparent matte varnish. So we can appreciate the veining and the elegant color of the oak. The interior of the furniture was painted black to contrast with the body of the furniture. The shelves, for their part, have been kept in wood.
Some defects and patina may be visible in the wood, inherent to its age. One side of the side is entirely paneled, the other side is plain wood, as the furniture must have been “cut” in the past in this location.
The doors slide very well.
