1970s Modernist Frosted Art Deco Inspired Verticle Glass Paneled 4 Tier Chandelier

A vertical icicle style glass paneled pendant chandelier designed in 4 staggered tiers. This hanging light fixture evokes a post modern art deco motif due to the pattern created by 2 panel styles that create an optic when hung as intended. Both panels have a shape characterized by a rounded top and bottom on one side only creating a racetrack shape when hung as a pair with its equal with the flat sides of each facing each other. One of the panel sets is fully frosted and the other panel set has a small clear edge with a frosted portion which proportionately mimics the fully frosted panel. It allows the clear edge to display a variance as a pair distinguishing it from the fully frosted pairs that flank one to the other. Each pane is 11″ long and 1.-1/4″ wide. The brass frame has a frame has a chain link attached that decoratively disguises the electrical wire which feeds into to the rounded 5″ brass canopy plate that attaches to the ceiling, The standard hardware that is placed onto the ceiling to hold the canopy in place is not included but easily purchased at any lighting or general hardware store. The chain included with the fixture is approximately 24″ in length to allow for a fairly nice distance from the ceiling depending on where the pendant is destined to hang.

There are 3 rows of five lights that surround the brass metal center pole that are horizontally positioned and one downward facing light sockets positioned at the bottom of the pendant upside down birthday cake shaped lighting fixture. There is no makers mark discoverable anywhere on the lamp and a comparable lamp to provide a visual twin could not be found after hours and hours searching for another like it. It’s uniquely mid=century, inspired by art deco and thoroughly modern. Think That Girl, The Partridge Family or Mad Men and it all makes real design sense.

NOTE 1: We can transform this fixture into a hanging swag lamp by adding on an extended plug and wire and additional chain at no additional cost if requested. The fixture if hardwired to the ceiling should be installed by a professional electrician
