Historic piece, furniture made on commission for the offices of Palazzo Gualino in 1930. The Turin entrepreneur Giovanni Gualino commissioned the architects Giuseppe Pagano and Gino Levi Montalcini to create a series of office furniture for his company which was based in a building which later took its name from the owner himself “Palazzo Gualino”.
The innovation in tables, desks, chairs, shelving, bookcases is represented by the material: pressed and stratified cardboard that simulated wood, the production of this new material which was given the name BUXUS is by the Turin company FLIP. Buxus was painted like wood with yellow or green colored anilines.
