Vintage Design
Extraordinary antique bridal cupboard made of pine dating from the early 19th century. This cupboard has a simple design but is beautifully painted in a blue color with floral decorations on the doors, including flowers and grapes. This copy is still in good condition considering its age and can be dismantled. Occasionally some woodworm traces can be observed (particularly on the inside) which have of course been checked and treated. The cupboard has a well-functioning lock with key and is equipped with a shelf and a sturdy oak rod on the inside. You can easily add more shelves if desired. In the past, it was customary to give bridal furniture like this as a gift to the couple at a wedding. This furniture was subsequently placed on the farm in a stately room that was only rarely used for high-ranking visitors or special occasions. A beautiful and decorative piece of history. This copy comes from southern Germany (Upper Bavaria). 191cm high, 145cm wide, 49cm deep.
