Vintage Design
Extraordinary antique bridal cupboard made of pine dating from the early 19th century. This cupboard has a simple design but is beautifully painted in a purple-pink color with floral decorations on the doors. This copy is still in very good condition considering its age with minimal signs of wear. Occasionally some woodworm traces can be observed (particularly at the rear), which have of course been checked and treated. The cupboard has a well-functioning lock with key and has the original interior layout, consisting of shelves, drawer, coat hooks and rod. You can easily add more shelves if desired. In the past, it was customary to give bridal furniture like this as a gift to the couple at a wedding. This furniture was subsequently placed on the farm in a stately room that was only rarely used for high-ranking visitors or special occasions. A beautiful and decorative piece of history. This specimen comes from southern Germany (Allgäu). 192cm high, 132cm wide, 49cm deep.
