The Savonarola Chair: an iconic chair that was named after a Renaissance era priest Girolamo Savonarola, after it was found in the convent of San Marco in Florence during the 15th century. This chair is French-made and from the 1900’s. The beech wood frame is hand-carved with a floral motif in the back rest, and the caned seat is in excellent condition. A beautiful, classic chair that will suit most homes, particularly with French / country farmhouse, rustic and beach decors.
