Friso Kramer Revolt Dining Room Chairs Chairs Set/8 The Netherlands 1953

Eight Revolt dining room chairs designed by Friso Kramer for Ahrend de Cirkel in Holland are available for sale. These chairs date back to 1953, but production started in 1958. They are rare as they were only used in a few schools in Holland and still have the Ahrend de Cirkel logo sticker intact. The chairs have a black lacquered frame and arms with a folded metal base that is very strong, and the seat and back are made of ciranol (fiberglass). These chairs are in fantastic original condition, with minimal wear from age and usage. The black lacquered metal frame has only minimal wear, and there are no cracks or chips to the coral on the seat and back. These chairs are even rarer as there weren’t many chairs with black frames. Friso Kramer’s designs are highly sought after due to their progressive and functionalist design. These chairs are collectible and hard to find in pristine condition with minor signs of use.
