Sofa Model nº57, “Parallel bar” series, designed by Florence Knoll in 1959 and produced by “Knoll International” during the 1960s.
The sofa, two-seater, with arms at both ends, is composed of an elegant and minimalist chromed iron on which rests the green upholstered volume.
This design, iconic from the USA of the 60s, is part of the “Parallel Bar” series which is characterized by its leg formed by two parallel bars, a seemingly simple and ingenious detail, which gives this sofa lightness and elegance.
The sofa, despite being in good condition, with strong structure, is visibly worn both in the chrome of the structure and the upholstery, which in some areas has lost the intensity of the original green color. Even so, it maintains the value of its originality, even in the drawing of its seams.
