Vintage Design
Rare set of mid-century red garden egg chairs designed in 1968 by the Hungarian artist Peter Ghyczy who started his working career as chief designer for polyurethane factory “Elastogran GmbH” in Lemförde, West Germany. The design incorporates features typical of the period: a Space Age look production was halted in 1975 as the lacquering remained problematic. Made from polyurethane with a lacquered coating, with a tonus red fabric. Designed to withstand all weather conditions as a versatile chair for indoors/outdoors. Dimensions: closed: Height-83 cm/Length-76 cm/Width-43cm /open:Height-100 cm /Seat height-32 cm.
