Pyramid sterling silver fish platter, Made by Georg Jensen in Copenhagen. Oval with flat rim and stepped and curved end handles. Cover domed with applied flat rim and stylized dolphin finial on stepped and flat oval mount. Mazarin pierced and engraved with same as well as pierced linear border; bead and trapezoid end tabs. Very rare and early in the pattern designed in the 1920s by young Harald Nielsen, who cut loose from the boss’ contemplative naturalism and took the high road to abstraction. Fully marked including 1930s maker’s stamp, designer’s stamp, and no. 600. Total weight: 169 troy ounces.
