It is signed at the lower right corner by the artist. The artwork size is 14.85 x 11.85 inches, framed size is 24.25 x 20.15 inches. Custom framed in a wood frame, with beige matting. The artwork is in excellent condition, the frame is in very good condition, it have very minor scratches.<\/p>\n<p>About the artist:<\/p>\n<p>James March Phillips (1913-1981) Born: Fresno, California; Studied: Turner Art Center (San Francisco).  James March Phillips studied art in San Francisco. His intructors were Alfred Owles and Louis Rogers, both well-known illustrators. During the 1940s and 1950s, Phillips produced watercolor and gouache paintings depicting california landscape and seascape subjects.
