Pair of iconic Marcel Breuer S 32 chairs for Thonet, manufactured in 1984 by Thonet.<\/p>\n

Made of chromed steel with dark brown lacquered wooden frames, original cane webbing.<\/p>\n

Very good condition with signs of use and age, small break in the cane webbing, see second last photo.<\/p>\n

Marcel Breuer designed the iconic tubular steel collection in 1929-1930, in which he found a way to mix old with new. While Thonet had a tradition in bentwood furniture and wickerwork, Breuer combined these traditions with the revolutionary use of tubular steel. He created the versatile, bestselling cantilever chair S 32, which has been in production ever since.<\/span><\/p>\n
