Vintage Design <\/p>\n

\nA magnificent art deco sycamore and walnut dressing table with stool, this is of the absolute highest order. It was made in England, it dates from the 1930’s.<\/p>\n

The quality is outstanding, this is beautifully made and has a unique design aspect. It is predominantly sycamore, with walnut banded handles and edges. It has a slightly asymmetrical design, the outer edge on the right hand side curves seamlessly from the front to the outer side, and the other side has a sharper cross banded edge of walnut. The top central section lifts up to reveal a vanity mirror and additional storage space. Even the beading that holds the mirror in place has wonderful hand painted decorations around it.<\/p>\n

It has lovely proportions, and contains plenty of storage space. The sycamore has a gorgeous colour tone and contrasts beautifully with the walnut.<\/p>\n

We have had this stripped and re-polished to a very high standard, the condition is excellent throughout. The matching stool that comes with it has a drop in seat that is upholstered in a light green silk fabric. It is in good condition, with some minor wear, and would be extremely easy to recover if desired.<\/p>\n

This is part of a bedroom suite that we obtained, we also have the matching chest of drawers, as well as the pair of matching bedside cabinets. They can be seen listed separately under our other items for sale.<\/p>\n
