The frame was most likely blackened later – this was done very professionally, with a fine glaze instead of varnish
Gives the table a modern style – you can tell its age when you look at it from below —
50s/60s or older
and the table top has of course suffered some scratches over the decades…we have tried to reflect this in the detailed pictures.
