Vintage Design
This piece doesn’t have a producer label but they it is believed to be designed and produced by ULUV in former Czechoslovakia.
ULUV Company was established at the end of 1945 with the main goal of supporting traditional Czech folk art and craft. Throughout the second part of the 20th century, ULUV produced products by many different artists and designers in various homeware and design categories.
This shelf has sharp angled dynamic forms that make up the top and bottom parts, and is in the style of the 1960’s Mid Century movement. This works very well, and together with a brown honeycomb colour of the wood creates a lovely overall design that shouts quality some 60 years after being produced. There are six hooks to hold coats along the bottom part. The size of the shelf is then perfect for storing keys, hats, flowers or decorative objects.
The shelf is in great vintage condition without any damage and only absolutely minor wear and tear gained from the use over the years. This piece can be easily fixed to the wall thought the gaps at the back side.
